Choking in your company spaghetti?

The other week, Hein Harlaar and I met a potential client. Great company, e-commerce retailer, 7 figures revenue and growing. Everything looks great from the outside.

Here’s the catch. The whole company is 𝐭𝐢𝐞𝐝 𝐭𝐨𝐠𝐞𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐫 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐥𝐢𝐧𝐤𝐞𝐝 𝐠𝐨𝐨𝐠𝐥𝐞 𝐬𝐡𝐞𝐞𝐭𝐬. Finance, Procurement, Warehousing, Operations. Everything. Tens and tens of sheets with a multitude of links in between. Imagine the complexity and incredible that it still works for their size. 𝐈 𝐥𝐨𝐯𝐞 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐢𝐧𝐠𝐞𝐧𝐮𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐧𝐞𝐞𝐝𝐞𝐝 𝐭𝐨 𝐠𝐞𝐭 𝐭𝐨 𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐬 𝐥𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐥 but one mistake and the whole company administration blows up.

𝐀𝐭 𝐬𝐨𝐦𝐞 𝐩𝐨𝐢𝐧𝐭 𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐬 𝐡𝐚𝐬 𝐭𝐨 𝐜𝐡𝐚𝐧𝐠𝐞. There are no systems in place to facilitate company processes. No structured data landscape in place to capture the generated data. I don't have to tell you about the risks or potential upside. Both are massive!
